They\u2019ve produced this infographic to help teachers talk about the 2015 election process in schools. They\u2019ve devoted a whole section of their site to the <a href=\"http:\/\/theday.co.uk\/election-2015\/?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=vote%20for%20policies&amp;utm_campaign=GE%20page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2015 election <\/a>with guides to the parties, a quiz, briefings on election issues and a slideshow of election posters from past campaigns.<\/div>\n<p><div>UK secondary schools that they speak to are getting really involved in the election. Some are holding their own hustings, leader\u2019s debates and mock elections, with students speaking for each party and 6th formers acting as returning officers. One school will have year 12 politics students leading a special assembly, and another said they would have regular form time sessions across the school throughout April.\u00a0The Day\u00a0asked students to write about who they would vote for if they could and they\u2019ve had responses from Year 7 (11 year olds) all the way up to 6th form.<\/div>\n<p><div>Some teachers have been taking the Vote for Policies survey to their students, helping them compare policies in the party\u2019s own words.<\/div>\n<p><div><strong>Founder of Vote for Policies, Matt Chocqueel-Mangan writes in <a href=\"http:\/\/theday.co.uk\/blog\/enabling-young-people-to-understand-their-politics\">The Day<\/a> about our\u00a0survey and why it\u2019s important to engage schools and teachers on policies and democracy.<\/strong><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve teamed up with The Day to share this handy\u00a0Election Guide infographic.
